DESCRIPTION: What if your memories could take a physical form? Inspired by their work collecting and holding memory through weaving, artist verónica a. pèrez will lead a workshop where you'll create braided memory nets, each string a memory braided together.\nParticipants will take a short walk with verónica to see their TEMPOart installation in Fort Allen Park before the workshop begins. All materials will be provided.\nverónica a. pèrez (they/them) is a sculptor whose work is deeply rooted in the community and explores themes of erasure, repair, identity, and interdependency. As part of this work, they hold braiding circle workshops where participants engage in intentional conversations about identity while braiding textiles.\n\n \nThis is the final event of our 2026 Creative Paths series exploring the connections between our creative selves and the natural world.\n\nFor details, click here: https://portlandtrails.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/memory-braiding
